Job summary

Accredo Packaging is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Sugar Land, TX. This onsite role supports accounting and reporting for multiple locations with close collaboration with plant and corporate personnel.

You will manage G/L closings, reconciliations, and treasury functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards. A strong accounting background and Excel proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or Associate degree with 3+ years experience.
• Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office required.
• Experience with Navision and treasury functions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly and year-end G/L closing for multiple locations, including journal entries.
• Ensure transactions comply with policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare working papers, schedules, and reports for accounting activities.
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
• Handle treasury tasks: ACH payments, wire transfers, and positive pay uploads.

This role is responsible for accounting and reporting activities for multiple company locations and requires strong technical skills and attention to detail. You will collaborate with plant and corporate personnel and interact with all levels of the organization to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.Location: Sugar Land, TXType: Onsite / 5 Days a week. No option for remote or hybridKey ResponsibilitiesManage monthly and year-end general ledger (G/L) closing for multiple locations, including preparing, reviewing, and posting journal entries.Ensure transactions comply with company policies, procedures, and current accounting standards.Prepare working papers, schedules, and reports to support accounting activities.Perform balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations.Analyze business drivers and report findings to management.Handle treasury functions such as ACH payments, wire transfers, and positive pay uploads; resolve exceptions daily.Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as assigned.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) OR Associate degree in Accounting with 3+ years of relevant experience.Skills & Experience:Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide recommendations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUP required).Experience with Microsoft Navision and treasury functions is a plus.Attributes:Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.Collaborative team player with a hands-on approach.
