Donaldson is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant II to join our Operations Finance team in Bloomington, MN. You will support core operational accounting processes, ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and play a key part in our month-end close cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience in operations, manufacturing, or corporate accounting.
• Cost accounting or inventory accounting experience.
• Familiarity with intercompany processes in multi-entity firms.
• Experience with financial close tools (Oracle ARCS, BlackLine).
• Strong communication and GAAP understanding.
• Excel and ERP system proficiency (Oracle, EPM, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Conduct AP liability reviews to ensure proper cutoff and completeness, resolving discrepancies with vendors and internal partners.
• Prepare and review inventory-related account reconciliations, ensuring alignment between the subledger and general ledger.
• Support excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory analysis, including reserve calculations, variance explanations, and quarterly operational reviews.
• Complete intercompany receivable and payable reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of differences. Collaborate with domestic and international affiliates to confirm settlements.
• Assist with monthend revenue cutoff procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and proper revenue recognition.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting documentation for monthly financial close activities.
• Maintain assigned balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with internal control standards.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and providing required documentation.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across operational accounting activities.

Position Summary

Donaldson is seeking a detailoriented and analytical Accountant II to join our Operations Finance team. In this role, you will support core operational accounting processes, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and play a key part in our monthend close cycle. We're looking for someone with strong foundational accounting knowledge, the ability to navigate complex data, and a continuous improvement mindset that aligns with our culture of operational excellence. Qualified candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule at our Bloomington, MN office/facility.

Role Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in operations, manufacturing, or corporate accounting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cost accounting or inventory accounting.
• Familiarity with intercompany processes in multientity organizations.
• Experience with financial close management tools (e.g., Oracle ARCS, BlackLine).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across functions.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger structure.
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems (Oracle, EPM, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.

Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.

Annual Salary Range: $65,400 - 83,300. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
