ALSAC/St Jude Children's Research Hospital seeks a Staff Accountant to support monthly and year-end close processes in a dynamic, hybrid role at our Memphis office. You will prepare reconciliations, enter journal entries, and assist with budget-related tasks while upholding strong internal controls and GAAP standards.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, at least one year of accounting experience, and proficiency with Windows, Excel, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration with emphasis in accounting is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience is essential.
• Proficiency in Windows OS, Excel, and Word, Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication for internal and external interactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly reconciliations of designated general ledger accounts in GAAP compliance.
• Assist with monthly closeout processes, including journal entries and reclassifications.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership on budget responsibilities as assigned.
• Prepare work papers for the annual audit.
• Be ready to fill vacancies in the Accounting Department when needed.
• Suggest process improvements to strengthen internal controls.
