Job summary

Esri is seeking aRevenue Accountant to manage monthly close activities, reconcile revenue accounts, and review contracts for GAAP compliance. You will document processes for new accounting tasks and ensure the integrity of revenue accounting information.

The role involves preparing and recording general ledger entries, performing monthly reconciliations, supporting year-end close and audits, and communicating results to Accounting management. Strong Excel and independent work skills are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of public accounting or similar experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience with general ledger and close processes.
• Proficient Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization.
• Familiarity with accounting financial statements.
• Ability to work independently.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

Job description

Overview

You will be responsible for monthly close activities such as the reconciliation of the company’s revenue accounts and contract review. Other duties include the documentation of processes related to new accounting tasks and ensuring integrity of revenue accounting information.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract reviews and work with Legal, Professional Services, and order processing teams to ensure compliance with GAAP and company revenue and contracting policies
• Prepare and record general ledger entries by compiling and analyzing account, operational, and other information
• Conduct monthly reconciliations by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies
• Support month and year-end close process and assist with annual audit
• Analyze and communicate periodic results to Accounting management
• Assist in research and preparation of technical accounting memos related to revenue and expense accounting

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in public accounting or a similar position
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with general ledger functions, and month and year-end close process
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables
• High level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to prioritize demands and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with accounting financial statements
• Ability to work independently
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience with Revenue Accounting guidance

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is: $70,304 USD - $85,280 USD
