Qualifications

• Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting.
• Bachelor's degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting.
• One year as Fiscal Technician or equivalent Federal Government title, with accounting credits.
• One year as Financial Programs Trainee or equivalent Federal Government title.
• Successful completion of Commonwealth Accounting Intern Program.
• Applicants may meet educational requirements within 3 months of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expenditure records, oversee budgetary control accounts, and prepare status reports.
• Ensure accurate invoice payments and resolve issues using SAP and other systems.
• Review incoming funds, perform financial analyses, and prepare financial statements.
• Contact vendors to resolve order issues and support procurement needs.
• Verify correct posting of fixed assets and compliance with transfer/disposal procedures.
• Assist with inventory control, variance reports, and corrections as needed.

Education

Five years of Bookkeeping experience and fifteen college credits in accounting

Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by fifteen credits in accounting

One year as a Fiscal Technician

One year as Financial Programs Trainee

Successful completion of the Commonwealth's Accounting Intern Program

Educational requirements met within 3 months of graduating
