SBA Communications seeks an Accountant I to apply accounting principles under US GAAP and local GAAP, analyze finances, and prepare financial statements. You will record costs for fixed assets, track depreciation, and support the organization’s financial integrity.

The role covers journal entries, month-end close, audits, property tax declarations, and collaboration with multiple departments. This on-site position emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting or finance; 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to prepare journal entries and analyze financial data.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and local GAAP is expected.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries within the general ledger.
• Complete timely month-end close and monthly reconciliations.
• Prepare schedules for quarterly external audit review and year-end audit.
• Prepare and administrate all property tax declarations related to buyouts or lease extensions.
• Gather documentation for elaboration of local financial statements.
• Asset verification and analyses for obsolescence and disposition recommendations.
• Respond to landlord questions on payments and tax declaration information.
