Great Hearts Academies seeks an Accountant I to support the Finance Department in Phoenix. Responsibilities include processing invoices, credit card entries, intercompany reconciliations, and month-end close with strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 2+ years accounting/finance work experience preferred.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting system preferred.
• Strong Excel and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Review, code and approve all Academy invoices.
• Review, code and approve all credit card transactions in Concur.
• Enter credit card transactions into Financial Edge monthly.
• Prepare intercompany reconciliations and balance sheet entries.
• Reconcile Financial Edge with Raiser's Edge monthly.
• Assist with annual financial audits and schedules.
• Monitor cash balances at academies and ensure controls.
