Job summary

LaSalle Network is partnering with our client in Skokie, IL to hire an Accountant I to support day-to-day billing activities, month-end reconciliations, and client invoicing. The role offers collaboration with cross-functional teams and offshore partners in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 1+ year of accounting experience in AR, billing, or reconciliations, with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of accounting experience in AR, billing, or reconciliations.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication abilities.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.

Responsibilities

• Support daily billing activities, including reviewing billing dashboards and notes to prepare invoices.
• Perform project cost reconciliation against billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and process client invoices following established guidelines and procedures.
• Review billing documentation for accuracy prior to client distribution.
• Assist with analyzing reports and accounts to identify discrepancies and escalte issues.
• Support month-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Participate in WIP and unbilled A/R reviews to support billing accuracy and cash flow.
• Respond promptly to internal and client billing inquiries.
• Maintain billing documentation and contribute to continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and offshore partners to meet billing deadlines.

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Compensation: $24 - $26/hr
