Position is responsible for the supervision of the Cash Management/Reporting Unit which includes three accounting paraprofessional positions that compile and analyze Third Party remittance and statistical data, obtain and distribute daily mail, and support the Reporting Supervisor with various projects. The Cash management/Reporting Unit is responsible for timely completion of the daily deposit and the daily receipt log. This position provides support and guidance; establish priorities and deadlines; develops performance metrics and management plans, provide written documentation to support findings; design and deliver training. This position requires technical, analytical, and evaluative experience. This position is responsible for the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports in the form of statistical graphs and schedules. This position submits financial reports that are utilized in preparation of the annual cost reports and management receipt projections. This positions prepares Quarterly Medicaid and Medicare Credit Balance Reports and the annual Medicare Bad Debt Report. This position collects Commercial, Medicare Part A, Medicare Part D, NC Tracks and Medicaid Managed Care Organizations (MCO) receipts information and maintain a cumulative Third-Party Log; analyze all Commercial, Medicare (A & D), NC Tracks and MCO remittance reports calculating and reporting service level paid, correct NCFS account numbers, total billed charges, liabilities, contractual, non-covered amounts, financial adjustments, paid days, and discharges; sort data by appropriate fiscal year. This position reconciles monthly posted cash transactions on sub-ledgers and Epic to the North Carolina Financial System (NCFS) and researches possible discrepancies.
