City of Minneapolis is seeking a professional-level Accountant to support accounting and financial reporting functions for city operations. This role includes grants accounting, GL accuracy, and month-end close with a hybrid work arrangement allowing some days remote.
Minimum education is a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Business/Finance or closely related field; no formal experience required, with 6 months to 1 year preferred. Knowledge of public finance and government accounting is essential.
Perform professional level accounting work to assist in fulfilling accounting and financial reporting responsibilities for the City of Minneapolis.
This position may be eligible for flexible work arrangements, including hybrid work with some days working remotely and some days working in the office.

The selection process will consist of one or more of the following steps: a rating of relevant education and experience (100%).
