We are a high-quality non‑profit organization that fights poverty and we are looking for the right person to work as an Accountant I in our finance department. The individual in this position is responsible for a variety of professional accounting and benefits administration duties using the agency’s financial software. Key elements include accounts receivable, cash receipts, journal entries, audit preparations, and special projects. Tasks include maintaining and updating routine hardcopy and electronic accounting data, designing, generating, and analyzing a variety of financial‑related management reports and spreadsheets, and quality control reviews. Also provides back‑up support for payroll and accounts payable functions. Work requires teamwork skills, knowledge of and ability to support and implement agency policy and procedures, considerable tact, diplomacy, and judgment. Work is often accomplished in teams and occurs under the general supervision of the Finance Director.
Range: $47,840 – $63,482 DOQ
