Job summary

Rush Enterprises, Inc. is seeking an Accountant to perform routine accounting tasks in support of centralized corporate operations. The role ensures GAAP compliance and SEC regulatory alignment, and supports monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

You will review financial statements, analyze accounts, post journal entries, and assist audit processes. Strong Excel and SAP experience are preferred to drive accurate financial reporting and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years general ledger accounting experience.
• SAP experience preferred; advanced Excel skills required.

The Accountant performs routine accounting tasks associated with centralized corporate operations. Responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records for the organization in accordance with GAAP principles and SEC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial cycle closings
• Perform financial statement review
• Perform account analysis and reconciliations
• Research and correct account discrepancies
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Provide audit support
• Assist various teams with financial analysis and accounting tasks
• Ensure financial records comply with company policies and accounting principles
• Analyze data to support business decision-making

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
• Minimum 2 years general ledger accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• SAP experience preferred
• Advanced skillset with Microsoft Excel

Minimum Pay Rate: USD $75,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay Rate: USD $85,000.00/Yr.
