Job summary

Taylor White in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an Accountant to join a mission-driven, collaborative team. You will prepare and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, handle depreciation schedules, and contribute to sales tax filings while providing cross-functional coverage across AP and AR.

The role offers high visibility with a direct reporting line to a senior leader who is invested in your development, and a clear path toward senior accounting roles over time.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of debits, credits, and financial statements.
• Proficiency in Excel, with formulas and data sorting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
• Experience with mid-market ERP or cloud-based accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of monthly close.
• Record and reconcile depreciation across fixed assets.
• Prepare sales tax filings and ensure timely compliance.
• Perform account reconciliations to keep balances clean and reconcilable.
• Provide coverage across accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Support close-week tasks including overtime when required.
