Job summary

Invitation Homes is seeking an HAP Accountant to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and program compliance. Responsibilities include preparing data for RTA packets, creating Yardi receipt batches for HAP payments, and verifying AR balances through the Resident ledger.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting, knowledge of HUD policies, proficiency with Yardi, and strong Excel skills. A BA/BS in a related field is required, with emphasis on accuracy and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge of HUD policies and regulations.
• Proficiency with Yardi property-management software.
• Intermediate Excel user capable of exporting and creating reports.
• Entry-level knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical ability to interpret complex issues and determine root causes.
• Organized, flexible, and able to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Accuracy and audit/reconciliation skills to maintain data integrity.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $23.78 - $41.22 per hour, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
