Job summary

WEST MICHIGAN COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH SYSTEM in Ludington is seeking a full-time Accountant to manage the general ledger, budget preparation, and grant/contract reports for the agency.

You will maintain accounting records, ensure accurate data entry, and support Accounts Payable, Payroll, and other financial functions across Lake, Mason, and Oceana Counties as needed. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 1–2 years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 1–2 years’ accounting experience preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting procedures and automated systems.
• High level of numeric accuracy and Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger & Inventory System, review and authorize invoice payments.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and compare results to budget.
• Handle grant and contract reporting and reimbursements.
• Oversee procurement procedures and ensure compliance with agency policies.
