Job summary

Toshiba International Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties, including month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

You will support audit preparations, budgeting, forecasting, SOX compliance, and financial analysis in a large ERP environment, using strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel, with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

U.S. GAAP knowledge and strong financial reporting skills.
1–3 years of accounting, finance, audit, or public accounting experience.
Proficient Excel and analytical abilities; detail-oriented and organized.
Experience with a large-scale ERP system; Oracle preferred; ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Prepare month-end journal entries and assist with the monthly close process.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and intercompany transactions.
Review transactions for GAAP compliance and accuracy.
Support annual budget and monthly forecast preparations.
Provide actual vs. budget/forecast analyses for leadership.
Prepare consolidated results for corporate reporting.
Assist with year-end audit, SOX documentation, and close processes.
Contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects to improve financial visibility.
