• Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve open items promptly.
• Support month-end close tasks and assist in financial reporting packages.
• Cover a subset of key accounting areas (cash, debt, intercompany, fixed assets, lease accounting) as needed.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes using AI tools and document procedures.

What You’ll Actually Do

• Prepare & Post Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications, ensuring accurate and complete supporting documentation.
• Reconcile Accounts: Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve any open or reconciling items in a timely manner.
• Support Month-End Close: Complete assigned close tasks within established deadlines and assist in the preparation of financial reporting packages.
• Manage Accounting Areas: Cover a subset of key accounting areas such as cash, debt, intercompany, fixed assets, product costing, or lease accounting, based on team needs and development goals.
• Drive Process Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline accounting processes using AI tools, and support documentation of desktop procedures and policies.

The Must-Haves

• Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required. Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience: 0–2 years of accounting experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas), strong attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: Experience with SAP and BlackLine. Familiarity with AI tools. CPA candidate or intent to pursue CPA certification preferred.
