About Us: We are a growing B2B start-up dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions to our customers. As we scale, we're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant & Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy across all accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
2. Handle accounts payable (AP): vendor onboarding, invoice entry, approvals, and payments.
3. Manage accounts receivable (AR): customer invoicing, collections follow-ups, and cash application.
4. Oversee billing operations: subscription renewals, revenue recognition, and customer billing inquiries.
5. Maintain the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
6. Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
7. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
8. Support the preparation of tax filings, audits, and year-end close activities.
9. Collaborate with other departments (sales, customer success, etc.) to ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
3. Experience with SaaS business models and revenue recognition (ASC 606) is a plus.
4. Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel/Google Sheets, and accounting software.
5. Self-starter with strong attention to detail and time management skills.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Background in working with startups or high-growth companies.
2. CPA or equivalent certification is a bonus.
