Job summary

Orbiss is seeking an Associate Accountant in Boston to support daily accounting operations for cross‑border clients. You will enter AP/AR, reconcile accounts, and maintain vendor and client records with accuracy and discretion.

The role requires at least a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, plus 2 years in an international accounting setting, and strong Excel skills. A hybrid work model and comprehensive benefits are offered at Orbiss.

Responsibilities

• Daily accounting tasks and data entry.
• Enter AP and AR invoices, reconcile AP/AR, and post vendor payments.
• Maintain accounting software integrations and perform bank reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end closing and client/database maintenance.
• Provide accurate report analyses and support for audits.

As an Associate Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Daily accounting missions

• Entering AP and AR invoices.
• AP / AR reconciliation.

• Maintaining accounting software integrations.
• Posting vendors payments.
• Bank reconciliation.
• Credit card reconciliation.
• Assisting with month-end closing preparation.

• Maintaining client’s database.
• Maintaining vendor’s files up to date.
• Posting entries to accounting software utilizing import from other software.
• Analyze differences and being able to provide recommendations.
• Posting and reconciling entries from reimbursement tools.

• Report analyses

If you have:

• Completion of at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• At least 2 years of experience in an international accounting firm

• Expertise in Excel, demonstrating proficiency in advanced functions and data analysis
• Ability to respect deadlines and proactively communicate in advance if unable to meet them.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining a strong sense of teamwork.
• A commitment to maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve problems effectively
