The Office of Finance and Support Services provides comprehensive accounting services, including financial reporting, analysis, budget development and preparation for the Division of Administration and various offices and agencies within the executive Department. The services provided by OFSS involve a range of agency responsibilities for implementing financial operational policies and procedures, preparing and monitoring all budget functions and providing monthly and annual financial statements to ensure accurate and timely financial services. The work is performed in compliance with state, federal, grant specific and office rules, policies, and procedures and are reviewed on the basis of results, reports and outside Independent audit, both federal and state.
The Accountant 4 serves as a program specialist, performing the more complex assignments, and as a team lead and reviewer for the work of lower level Accountants. This position is responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements, expenditure, reconciliations, cost allocation, sales and revenue projections, financial quarterly reports, and the Annual Financial Statement.

Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full‑time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
Appointment Type: This vacancy will be filled by new hire or by promotion of a current permanent status classified employee. A permanent status employee may be required to serve a new probationary period in lieu of promotion.
Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) of $2,428.00 biweekly.
