Job summary

Blackstone Talent Group seeks an Accountant to join our Client's team. The Accountant will perform mid-level to complex accounting functions in compliance with GAAP and statutory requirements, participate in monthly close, and prepare internal and external reports.

This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate across departments. You will support audits and identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong organizational/time management and multi-tasking abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Oracle Financial or ERP software experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs account reconciliations and analyzes variances, including key drivers and trends.

The Accountant is responsible for performing mid-level to complex accounting functions in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and statutory requirements. In addition, this role will participate in monthly close activities and will preparing internal and external reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Prepares and posts moderately complex journal entries.
• Generates internal financial performance reports and narratives, creates adhoc reports, and validates data output.
• Performs account reconciliations and analyze variances, including key drivers and trends.
• Processes and reports transactions in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in month-end and year-end close processes.
• Participates in special projects within the division and cross functional teams.
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement to achieve operational efficiency; researches alternatives and proposes recommendations to management.
• Identifies and researches problems; proactively proposes solutions.
• Assists with internal and external audit requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ w/Bachelors degree in AccountingKnowledge, Skills, Abilities
