Job summary

Uline, a leading distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials, seeks an Accountant to support financial reporting and inventory transactions at our Pleasant Prairie, WI location. You will prepare financial statements and help ensure accurate analytics across departments.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's in accounting, are detail-oriented, with experience or training in Excel or SQL. CPA preferred; on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Excel or SQL preferred.
• CPA preferred but not required; willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and evaluate information for recording inventory transactions.
• Review financial records for compliance with accounting standards and business guidelines.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Support year-end audits with schedules and auditor inquiries.
• Collaborate with business teams to analyze product costs and ensure pricing accuracy.

Position Responsibilities

• Help prepare financial statements and evaluate information for recording inventory transactions.
• Review financial records and reports, ensuring they align with standard accounting practices and business guidelines.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Support the year-end financial audit by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Partner with business teams to analyze product costs and ensure inventory pricing is accurate across the company.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting. CPA preferred.
• Prior accounting experience is a plus, but if you’re eager to learn, we will train you!
• Proficiency in Excel or SQL is preferred.
