Under the general direction of the CFO, the Accountant is responsible for providing financial information, maintaining and reconciling accounts, maintaining journals and ledgers, capturing costs, preparing statements and generating reports needed to ensure accurate financial statements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of relevant financial software and ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Strong problem solving and root-cause analysis abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform account reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement during month-end closing.

Under the general direction of the CFO, the Accountant is responsible for providing financial information, maintaining and reconciling accounts, maintaining journals and ledgers, capturing costs, preparing statements and generating reports needed to ensure accurate financial statements.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and perform account reconciliations for various areas of the balance sheet and income statement during the month end closing process


• Assist in the review that all monthly close functions have been completed


• Prepares schedules and other information requested by outside auditors for the annual audit of the company’s financial statements


• Perform account analysis to identify and resolve accounting issues


• Provide recommendations for procedural improvements


• Assist with the development and documentation of internal accounting procedures


• Coordinate and interface with all departments regarding accounting issues


• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related experience


• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment


• Knowledge of relevant financial software and ERP systems


• Proficient in MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced Excel skills


• Possesses Problem solving skills


• Ability to analyze information and correct issues at the root cause


• Exceptional attention to detail


• Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment


• Good planning, prioritizing and organizational skills


• Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines
