South Dakota Board of Regents is seeking an Accountant to interpret, analyze, and ensure accuracy of financial data and maintain controlling funds. You will audit direct pays and journal vouchers, process state contracts, and provide Banner training across campus.
The role requires strong accounting knowledge, policy interpretation abilities, and collaboration with multiple units. The position offers standard working hours, a 12-month term, and eligibility to work in the United States.
USD is seeking an energetic, creative problem solver, and strategic thinker to fill an open Accountant position. The individual hired must be able to interpret, analyze, and determine accuracy of financial data in the maintenance of controlling funds. Individual must be able to provide exceptional customer service and interpret USD and State of SD policies and procedures.
Specific tasks will include:
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to interpreting complex policies and regulations
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of units to create effective relationships for problem solving and positive interactions
- Ability to use computers and software for detailed accounting and budgeting transactions
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and electronically.
