Job summary

Randstad is hiring an Accountant for a hybrid role in Dalton, GA. The 6-month contract will focus on applying US GAAP to produce timely reports and analyses within the General Accounting department.

The candidate will prepare journal entries, reconcile cash and AR, and support month/quarter/year-end processes while coordinating with internal teams and external providers. Strong Excel skills and Oracle knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related.
• 3+ years accounting experience in accounting or finance.
• Excellent Excel Skills.
• Knowledge of accounting systems (Oracle especially).
• Existing understanding and knowledge of GAAP.
• Demonstrates excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and ability to work with detail.
• Follows direction without close supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries with adequate supporting documentation.
• Monitor, maintain and reconcile cash and AR transactions.

• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Document and maintain current processes and procedures.
• Participate in finance and system projects impacting general accounting.
• Collaborate with Finance areas and outside teams to support financial governance.
• Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance quality and timeliness of transactions.

AccountantPay Rate: 30-35 per hourHybrid in Dalton, GA6 month contract to start.

This position within the General Accounting department will be responsible for performing accounting duties for the assigned entities. This position includes managing relationships with local accountants or service providers and applying local and US GAAP accounting principles to prepare accurate and timely reporting and related analyses.

• Work with all areas of Finance (Financial Services, Treasury, Corporate Assets and Tax) and outside
• of Finance (IS group, Customer service, etc.) to support financial governance.

• timeliness and accuracy of transactions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
