Job description

We are seeking a skilled and client-focused Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting needs of our existing clients. Your work will involve handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and providing insightful financial advice to help our clients achieve their business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Accounting Management:
    • Serve as the accounting contact for assigned clients, managing their financial records and ensuring accuracy.
    • Provide regular financial reports and insights to clients, helping them understand their financial position and make informed decisions.
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:
    • Manage invoicing processes for clients, ensuring timely billing and accurate recording of incoming payments.
    • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts, maintaining healthy cash flow for clients.
  • Accounts Payable (AP) Management:
    • Process vendor bills and payments on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and maintain clear communication with vendors regarding payment statuses.
  • Bank Reconciliations:
    • Reconcile clients' bank statements with their accounting records on a regular basis.
    • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients, providing insights into their financial performance.
    • Assist clients with budget preparation and forecasting, helping them plan for future financial needs.
  • Internal Controls and Auditing:
    • Implement and monitor internal controls for clients to safeguard their assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
    • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis for clients, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Provide clients with actionable recommendations to enhance their financial performance.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with the services provided.
    • Proactively identify clients' evolving accounting needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • MUST have experience working on the books for multiple clients simultaneously
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a client-serving role within an accounting firm or service provider.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online; experience with additional financial tools is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts to clients with varying levels of financial knowledge.
  • Experience with remote work and managing virtual client relationships is preferred.

Salary: $1000-$1200 USD/month

Working hours: 8:30 am- 5 pm EST
