Job summary

Correct Choice Inc. is seeking an Accountant to join our Sioux Falls, SD team. This on-site, full-time position supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end close activities in a collaborative office setting.

You will code and review invoices, maintain vendor records, prepare sales tax returns, and assist with financial analyses. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 2–5 years of experience.

Correct Choice Inc. is growing, and we're looking for an accounting professional to grow with us. Based in our corporate office in Sioux Falls, SD, this role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to key financial processes, and play an important role in our continued success.

$32-$38 per hour- Full-Time employee

In office on site in Sioux Falls, SD: Monday-Friday

Schedule: 7:30am-5pm Monday – Thursday; 8am-12pm Friday

Duties/Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

• Code, review, and enter accounts payable invoices accurately and timely.
• Set up and maintain vendor records, ensuring required documentation is complete.

Accounts Receivable

• Generate customer invoices and manage billing activities.
• Reconcile customer accounts, investigate discrepancies and collect on past due invoices.

Other Accounting responsibilities

• Prepare and file sales tax returns in multiple jurisdictions.
• Process corporate credit card transactions, including coding, account reconciliation and expense review.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and support documentation.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and account reconciliations.
• Proactively identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve the accuracy of accounting processes.
• Document updated procedures in clear, concise language and maintain process documentation.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues and improve efficiencies.
• Support other accounting and finance projects as assigned.
• Provide outside tax preparers with assistance; gather account information and documents necessary to process the tax returns.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting.
• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Highly proficient with accounting software.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
