Responsibilities

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and reports for accuracy and conformance.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in planning and executing internal and external audits.
• Develop and document accounting systems and recordkeeping processes.
• Analyze operations, costs, revenues and provide budgeting guidance.
• Maintain budgets and prepare reports comparing budgeted vs actual costs.
• Provide timely, accurate financial reporting to management.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to gather information and resolve issues.
• Participate in special projects and extra duties as required.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our dynamic team in the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of accounting knowledge, particularly in audit, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations. This role will play a crucial part in our financial department, ensuring our organization's financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities

• 1. Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• 2. Perform regular bank reconciliations, identifying and addressing discrepancies.
• 3. Participate in the planning and execution of both internal and external audits.
• 4. Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
• 5. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice.
• 6. Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• 7. Provide financial reporting to management, ensuring all information is accurate, comprehensive, and submitted on time.
• 8. Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
• 9. Coordinate with other departments to gather information, resolve issues, and provide financial guidance.
• 10. Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• 1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare industry.
• 3. Proven experience in audit, financial reporting, and bank reconciliations.
• 4. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred.
• 5. Comprehensive understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• 6. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• 7. Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
• 8. Outstanding problem-solving and organization skills.
• 9. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• 10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 11. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
