Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team. This position will be responsible for supporting the companys day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, invoicing, and general accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities.
• Prepare, review, and issue accurate client invoices.
• Perform detailed reviews of vendor bills, supporting documentation, and account coding before payment.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Generate and review AR aging reports and customer statements.
• Record and process customer payments and maintain accurate account balances.
• Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies.
• Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain information necessary for accurate invoicing, billing, and accounting records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities.
• Prepare accounting reports and provide financial information to management as requested.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard company, client, vendor, and financial information.
• Perform other general accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, account reconciliations, invoicing, and general accounting practices.
• Highly detail-oriented, particularly when preparing and reviewing invoices and checking AP bills for accuracy.
• Strong ability to identify, research, and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other standard business applications.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
