You will handle month-end close support, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue analysis, while ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance in a fast-paced media environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with revenue recognition and month-end close processes
• Oracle or other major ERP system experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
• Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Our client is looking for an Accountant I to join the team. This is a fully onsite contract opportunity based in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you'll support the digital advertising and streaming business by reviewing contracts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, validating sales order setup, and partnering closely with Sales and Client Services teams.

This professional will be responsible for revenue accounting activities including contract review, revenue recognition, month-end close support, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue analysis. You'll help ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements, investigate revenue variances, resolve system exceptions, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced media environment.

Contract Duration: 9 months

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with revenue recognition and month-end close processes
• Oracle or other major ERP system experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis)
