Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an Accountant I for a fully onsite contract in San Francisco, CA. The role focuses on reviewing contracts, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, and partnering with Sales and Client Services to drive accurate financial reporting.

You will handle month-end close support, journal entries, reconciliations, and revenue analysis, while ensuring GAAP and SOX compliance in a fast-paced media environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with revenue recognition and month-end close processes
• Oracle or other major ERP system experience
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
• Experience preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Review contracts and support revenue recognition
