Storm Search LLC. is seeking an Accountant to join our growing team and manage daily accounting operations focused on accounts payable, expense reporting, and cost accounting.

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable, expense reporting, or cost accounting.
• Understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and expense classifications.
• Experience reviewing and processing employee expense reports.
• Familiarity with cost tracking or inventory-related accounting.

Responsabilidades

• Manage the full AP cycle, including invoice processing, coding, matching, and reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile employee expense reports with proper documentation.
• Assist with cost tracking, expense analysis, and cost allocations.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations; investigate variances.
• Support month-end close with journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely with vendors.
• Assist in financial reporting of operating expenses and cost trends.
• Maintain internal controls and adherence to policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline AP, expense reporting, and workflows.
• Collaborate across departments to resolve invoice issues and ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Manage the full AP cycle, including invoice processing, coding, matching, payment preparation, and vendor account reconciliations.
• Expense Reporting: Review, process, and reconcile employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation, accurate coding, and compliance with company policies.
• Cost Accounting: Assist with cost tracking, expense analysis, cost allocations, and identifying discrepancies or opportunities for improved cost control.
• Account Reconciliations: Prepare and maintain general ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Month-End Close: Support monthly closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and expense reconciliations.
• Invoice & Payment Management: Ensure invoices are processed accurately and timely while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
• Financial Reporting: Assist with preparing reports related to operating expenses, departmental spending, and cost trends.
• Internal Controls: Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to accounting procedures and company policies.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline AP, expense reporting, and accounting workflows.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to resolve invoice issues, clarify expenses, and maintain accurate financial data.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in accounting, accounts payable, expense reporting, or cost accounting.
• Understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and expense classifications.
• Experience reviewing and processing employee expense reports.
• Familiarity with cost tracking, cost analysis, or inventory-related accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using an ERP or accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively across departments.
