Job summary

Beal Bank USA is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, and regulatory reporting. This is a fully on-site position with no remote or hybrid work.

You will prepare journal entries, reconciliations, wire processing, and FR reporting, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Accounting, advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP), and excellent written

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries with proper supporting documentation.
• Prepare account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor deposit clearing accounts and investigate unusual items.
• Process wires, run OFAC checks, and coordinate with departments on rotation.
• Prepare daily check-funding entries for branch checks.
• Prepare accrual entries for month-end close.
• Prepare FR 2420 and FR 2900 Fed reporting timely.
• Prepare Nevada Thrift reports monthly/annually.
• Respond to ad hoc accounting requests and perform analyses.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Review work for errors before submission.
• Follow established accounting policies and internal controls.

Job description

Beal Bank USA is seeking a dependable, highly detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations, month-end close, regulatory reporting, and ad hoc accounting requests. This is a fully on-site position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to):

• Prepare accurate, complete, and properly supported journal entries.
• Prepare account reconciliations, research discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Monitor deposit clearing accounts daily and investigate or eliminate outstanding or unusual items.
• Process incoming wires - prepare journals and wire packet, run OFAC checks, and notify departments, on a rotational basis for cross-training and coverage purposes.
• Prepare daily check-funding entries for branch checks.
• Prepare accrual entries and supporting documentation for the month-end close.
• Prepare daily FR 2420 Federal Reserve reporting accurately and within required deadlines.
• Prepare weekly FR 2900 Federal Reserve reporting accurately and within required deadlines.
• Prepare monthly, semi-annual, and annual Nevada Thrift reports.
• Perform assigned daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly accounting activities accurately and on schedule.
• Respond to ad hoc accounting requests, including journal entries, reconciliations, account research, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Review all work carefully to identify errors, inconsistencies, missing information, and unusual activity before submission.
• Follow established accounting policies, internal controls, reporting requirements, and approval procedures.

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Computer Skills, Certifications, Etc.):

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and fundamental accounting processes.
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adjust priorities as business needs change.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are preferred, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and INDEX/MATCH.
• Demonstrated ownership, reliability, professional judgment, and accountability.
• Ability to handle confidential financial and customer information appropriately.
• Ability and willingness to work on-site during all scheduled working hours.

CPA certification is not required for this position.
