U-Haul International is seeking a Staff Accountant in Phoenix, AZ to join our finance team. This role focuses on month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and GAAP compliance with opportunities to improve processes.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 2–3 years of public accounting experience are preferred; strong Excel and communication skills are essential. Onsite work with a comprehensive benefits package awaits.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Complete routine month-end close procedures within prescribed timeframes in a timely and accurate manner.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 2-3 years of relevant work experience in public accounting preferred
• Strong oral and written communication, good listening skills, and excellent attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and work well under pressure
• Ability to balance time during busy quarterly/annual reporting season
• Attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
• Knowledge and experience with SAP (general ledger) are a plus
