Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking Accounting Professionals for contract/consulting opportunities. Most projects are remote, with some hybrid and local work centered in the metro Philadelphia market.

W2 hourly compensation ranges from $50–$85 per hour, depending on experience and client requirements. Responsibilities include month-end close, financial reporting, audits, budgeting support, and liaison with tax professionals.

Qualifications

• Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Advanced MS Excel with formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (SAP and NetSuite preferred).
• BS degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Organize and update financial records as needed.
• Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
• Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Participate in budgeting processes.
• Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status.
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.
