Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking accounting professionals for contract/consulting projects. Most work is remote, with some hybrid options and local work in the Philadelphia metro market.

W2 hourly based on experience: $50–$85 per hour. Candidates should hold a BS in Accounting or Finance, with CPA preferred, a solid GAAP background, and experience with SAP or NetSuite. Strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (SAP and NetSuite preferred).
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge (formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Organize and update financial records as needed.
• Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
• Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Participate in budgeting processes.
• Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status.
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.
