Job summary

Jefferson Wells, a division of ManpowerGroup, is seeking a detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Ashburn, VA. This contract role is onsite 3 days per week with a W2 rate of $40–$50 per hour, focusing on GAAP-based month-end close in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include posting journal entries and accruals, performing reconciliations, handling intercompany transactions, supporting inventory accounting and COGS analysis, and aiding audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
• Experience with inventory accounting and cost accounting preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Contribute to process improvements and ensure internal controls are followed.
