Job summary

Passageway Financial is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our remote team. You will close the books, reconcile accounts, prepare monthly statements, and support payroll and sales tax processes for small business clients using QuickBooks Online and Gusto.

You''ll work independently across a portfolio of clients, maintain organized files, and communicate financial information clearly. This role emphasizes accuracy, reliability, and adherence to firm workflows with minimal meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping or staff accounting experience.
• Fluent in QuickBooks Online — accrual and cash basis.
• Detail-obsessed; you catch the small things before they grow.
• Comfortable working independently across a portfolio of clients.
• US-based, authorized to work in the US.

Accountant

Close the books, reconcile accounts, and keep client financials audit-ready.

The Accountant delivers accurate bookkeeping, payroll support, sales tax compliance, financial reporting, and tax return prep support for our small business clients. You'll make sure clients get timely, reliable financial information so they can run their businesses with confidence — and you'll do it as part of a team that has each other's back. We use QuickBooks Online and Gusto as our preferred software stack.

What you'll do
