Job summary

SBH Fashion is seeking an Accountant to support accounting, forecasting, budgeting, revenue reconciliation and T&E management for North America. You will analyze data, prepare internal financial statements, and collaborate with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting and 4–5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in retail. Proficiency with MS Office and ERP systems is expected, with JD Edwards desirable.

Responsibilities

Title: Accountant

Who you are:

The Accountant is responsible for supporting accounting, forecasting, budgeting, revenue reconciliation and T&E management for the North America region. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong analytical and organizational skills with a remarkable ability to analyze and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

Accounting

• Internal Financial Statement Preparation
• Financial Audit Requests
• Maintenance of chart of accounts
• Adhoc Operating Cost Analysis
• Liaising with Operating Depts to answer their requests
• Prepaid Expenses and main accruals
• Reallocating costs such as merchandise gift from COGS to Gifts accounts
• Credit Card cost reconciliation
• Post USA and Canada Payroll Journal Entries
• Participate in process improvements (like Scanman, etc.)
• Intercompany reconciliation for USA vs Canada

Forecasting & Budgeting

• Assistance in G&A Budget & Forecast
• T&E Budget Reporting

Sales revenue reonciliation

• Hirshleifers sales reconciliation and rent payment
• Nordstrom concessions, Hybrid project revenue reconciliation
• Holt Renfrew concessions revenue reconciliation
• Saks concessions & ecom revenue reconciliation
• Credit card chargebacks

T&E

• Control of costs allocation in T&E system (Concur)
• Control accruals of T&E

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Accounting, retail environment preferred
• Skilled in preparing financial statements
• Outstanding abilities to manage time, daily tasks and daily general ledger postings
• Proficient with MS O?ice suite and accounting software
• Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP system is a plus
• Ability to analyze problems, to compile data, in order to reach a logical conclusion based on facts
• Ability to work in a growing and entrepreneurial team environment
