Job summary

High Point & Affiliated Organizations is seeking an Accountant to prepare monthly financial statements for assigned programs and to analyze material fluctuations between actual results and budgets. Qualifications

• Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis.
• Ability to manage assigned projects within prescribed deadlines.
• State contract management experience preferred.
• Non-profit and healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements for the assigned programs.
• Analyze financial statements and explain material fluctuations between actual and budget.
• Record and reconcile transactions in the general ledger.
• Participate in monthly and year-end closing.
• Participate in annual budget preparation.
• Maintain fixed allocation costs.
• Manage and bill cost reimbursement contracts.
• Prepare analysis reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Assist with UFR preparation, audit and compliance projects as assigned.
• Assist with state and local agency filings such as annual 3ABC forms.
• Assist in developing department policies and procedures.

Accountant Qualifications
