Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking accounting professionals for contract and consulting roles. Most projects are remote, with some hybrid and local work in the metro Philadelphia market.

W2 hourly compensation ranges from $50 to $85 per hour, depending on experience and client requirements. Responsibilities include close processes, financial reporting, audits, budgeting, and liaising with tax teams, with opportunities across multiple clients.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification preferred or a strong plan toward certification.
• Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Organize and update financial records as needed.
• Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
• Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Participate in budgeting processes.
• Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status.
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.
