Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking accounting professionals available for contract and consulting roles. Most projects are remote, with some hybrid options and local to the metro Philadelphia market. W2 hourly compensation ranges from $50 to $85 per hour, depending on experience and client requirements.

Responsibilities include month-end close, budgeting, audits, and liaison with tax accounting teams. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Accounting or Finance, with CPA preferred and strong GAAP knowledge;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • GAAP knowledge is required to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • Experience with SAP and NetSuite ERP systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
  • Organize and update financial records as needed.
  • Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy of financial documents and expenditures.
  • Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
  • Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
  • Participate in budgeting processes.
  • Brief senior managers on financial status.
  • Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.

Job description

Jefferson Wells is looking to network with Accounting Professionals who are available for contract/consulting jobs. Most of these projects are remote, some hybrid and local to the metro Philadelphia market.

W2 hourly based on experience and client requirements: $50 – $85 hr

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close

  • Organize and update financial records as needed.

  • Analyze transactions and prepare reports.

  • Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.

  • Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.

  • Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.

  • Participate in budgeting processes.

  • Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status.

  • Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.

Requirements:
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance.

  • CPA certification preferred.

  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Experience with accounting software/ERP systems (SAP and NetSuite preferred)

  • Advanced MS Excel knowledge (experience with formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
