Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of accounting/finance experience; restaurant industry/retail experience preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and review financial transactions and activities for assigned accounts, funds, departments, and units.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the third-party accounting firm to ensure: Financial reports and statements are accurate, reflect the company’s financial position, and are prepared within agreed timelines.
  • Inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data are accurate.
  • Timely processing of account payable and proper accounting treatment of all transactions.
  • Maintain accounting controls and audit documentation.
  • Partner with HR to ensure timely and accurate payroll tax payments and filings.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and information.
  • Participate in special projects, team training, and development initiatives.
  • Provide technical accounting support to various departments.
  • Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
