This is a premier auto care brand providing high-end hand washing, full-service interior and exterior detailing, mobile wash services, and specialty vehicle care products. As our operations expand across physical locations and mobile services, we are seeking an experienced, organized, and hands-on Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations, streamline bookkeeping across multiple revenue streams, and support long-term business growth.

Position Overview

The Accounting Manager will oversee all day-to-day accounting and financial management for the Company. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, tracking inventory costs (detailing chemicals, equipment, supplies), handling accounts receivable/payable for corporate and fleet clients, and delivering clear financial reports to executive leadership.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in small-to-midsize business accounting, auto service/retail inventory accounting, and multi-unit or mobile business financial tracking.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Bookkeeping

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and general ledger maintenance.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings, preparing bank reconciliations and financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Audit daily cash drop/POS transactions, credit card merchant processing settlements, and gift card redemptions.

Revenue Stream & Inventory Accounting

• Track and reconcile revenues across multiple business lines:
• * In-shop detail services & hand car wash operations.
  • Mobile detailing fleets & corporate account billing.
  • Retail auto detailing products and accessories.
• Manage inventory accounting for detailing products, chemicals, microfibers, tinting film, and equipment maintenance parts.
• Calculate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and analyze product/service profit margins to identify waste or cost-saving opportunities.

Payroll, Tax & Compliance

• Process bi-weekly payroll for shop technicians, mobile detailers, front-desk staff, and management.
• Track commissions, tip allocations, hourly wages, and performance bonuses.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements, including Texas sales tax filings, payroll taxes, and local business filings.
• Coordinate with external CPAs for annual tax returns and formal audits.

Reporting & Business Analysis

• Generate weekly and monthly financial dashboards highlighting key metrics (e.g., average ticket price, technician labor efficiency, product margins, mobile fleet profitability).
• Monitor cash flow and maintain forecast models to support facility upkeep, new equipment purchases, or expansion projects.
• Assist ownership in annual budgeting, expense control, and pricing strategies for fleet and retail customers.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience).
• Experience: 3–5+ years of accounting management experience, preferably within auto detailing, automotive repair, retail, service, or multi‑location/mobile service businesses.
• Technical Skills:
• * Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online / Desktop or comparable accounting software.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) and scheduling systems (e.g., Square, Clover, DetailBookie, Urable, or similar car wash POS systems).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
• Soft Skills:
• * High attention to detail and zero-tolerance for unaccounted discrepancies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data clearly to non‑financial store managers and owners.
