OneMain Financial in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Staff Accountant to support the investment accounting and finance function. The role focuses on reconciliations, journal entries and account analysis in a dynamic team.

You'll contribute to SOX and SEC reporting, with a hybrid in-office schedule Tue–Thu. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 0–2 years of related experience are preferred, along with strong Excel and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 0–2 years’ accounting experience; investment exposure a plus.
• GAAP knowledge; investment statutory accounting knowledge a plus.
• Strong Excel skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with Clearwater Analytics and OneStream a plus.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Team player with solid written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare general ledger and custody account reconciliations.
• Research and analyze account balances and transactions.
• Prepare and review journal entries.
• Support SOX, statutory, and SEC reporting.

An opportunity has arisen within our accounting team in Fort Worth, TX for a dynamic and driven finance professional to join as a Staff Accountant supporting the OneMain Solutions Investment accounting and finance organization. This position will be responsible for reconciliations, journal entries and the analysis and research of various accounts and balances.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing general ledger and custody account reconciliations
• Research and analysis of account balances and transactions
• Journal entry preparation and review
• Provide support for SOX, Statutory, and SEC reporting
• Review of investment transactions

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent business/accounting experience
  • 0 to 2 years’ experience in accounting, investment experience a plus
  • Accounting/GAAP knowledge, investment statutory accounting knowledge a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
  • Experience with Clearwater Analytics and OneStream a plus
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, both written and verbal
