Job summary

Priority Life Care seeks an Accountant to support monthly financial reporting for 10-12 senior living communities. You will own the full close process, ensure accurate statements, and provide meaningful insights to operational leaders.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 1–3 years of accounting experience, with strong GAAP knowledge, Excel skills, and a collaborative mindset to work across departments.

Qualifications

  • Proven understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
  • Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and communicate insights.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial packages for assigned communities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Calculate, prepare, and enter monthly accruals.
  • Process payroll general ledger imports and validate accuracy.
  • Track and report capital expenditures with proper classification.
  • Complete variance analysis for actuals vs. prior month and budget.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to resolve discrepancies.
  • Explain financial results to community and regional leaders to aid decision making.
  • Maintain internal controls and month-end deadlines.

ACCOUNTANT:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-driven Accountant to support the monthly financial reporting process for 10-12 senior living communities.   • Prepare monthly financial packages for assigned communities, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Calculate, prepare, and enter monthly accruals.
  • Process payroll general ledger imports and validate accuracy.
  • Track and report capital expenditures, ensuring proper classification and documentation.
  • Complete variance analysis for actuals vs. prior month and budget, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to resolve discrepancies or questions.
  • Partner with community and regional leaders to explain financial results and support operational understanding.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and month-end deadlines.
Qualifications, Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience; experience with multi-entity or multi-location environments is a plus.
  • Experience with preparing financial statements, journal entries, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis is required.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
