Job summary

EverGRO Cooperative seeks an Accountant to lead daily accounting activities and support month-end processes across its divisions. You will manage reconciliations, COGS calculations, and financial analysis by department, reporting to the Shared Services Manager and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires at least three years of accounting experience, a valid driver's license, and preferably an Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

Qualifications

• At least three years of accounting/finance experience in a professional setting.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Associate's Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations to support cooperative activities.
• Focus on month-end valuation and accounting reports.
• Collaborate with Shared Services Manager and assist with audits.
• Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Handle general accounting tasks: inventory, cash receipts, AR, COGS, bank reconciliations, financial analysis by department.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and leadership month-end reporting.
• Proficient use of EverGRO Merchant Ag and Microsoft Excel/Word for summaries.

WHAT WILL MY NEXT CAREER AS AN ACCOUNTANT LOOK LIKE?

Your next career will be highlighted by taking the lead to:

• Oversee daily operations to support the accounting activities of the Cooperative
• Focus on month-end valuation and accounting reports
• Collaborate and reports to the Shared Services Manager, assisting with accounting audits
• Help identify process improvements, creative ways to improve efficiencies and make the accounting systems more effective
• Fully understand and execute a variety of general accounting tasks, including, inventory entries and tracking, cash/credit receipts, accounts receivable billings, cost of goods sold calculations, bank reconciliations and financial analysis by department/cost center/branch
• Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, as deemed necessary and provide leadership month-end financial statement reporting for review
• Must demonstrate strong understanding and ability to use EverGRO's Merchant Ag system, along with using Microsoft products, such as Excel and Word to communicate and create documents to help summarize and analyze financial information

• A valid Driver's License
