Job summary

JCW Group is partnering with a commercial finance company to place an Accountant on a growing team in Dallas. This hybrid role requires three days in the Dallas office and offers exposure to loan originations, servicing, and financing transactions while building a strong foundation in GL accounting.

You will support monthly close, prepare journal entries and reconciliations, maintain GL accounts, assist with SEC filings and audits, and help strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA or CPA-track preferred.
• Public accounting or financial-services accounting experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control concepts.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain GL accounts and resolve reconciling items related to loan originations, servicing, financing transactions, and accrued interest.
• Support AP, expense reporting, and vendor payment processes.
• Assist with SEC filings, financial statements, regulatory reporting, and audit schedules.
• Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Research accounting/financial data and identify process improvement opportunities.

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional early in their career who wants exposure to the operational side of a CRE lending platform, loan originations, servicing, and financing transactions, while building a strong technical foundation in GL accounting and reporting. This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days in the firm's Dallas office.
