Base pay range

Purpose of the Position

As an integral part of our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of our portfolio companies and gain exposure to the strategic and operational aspects of the family office. An ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starter with a solid background in accounting and finance.

Key Responsibilities

  • General accounting and finance functions for the family office, several commercial real estate entities, and one of our portfolio companies in the construction equipment and tool rentals industry, including: (i) Maintaining the general ledger and daily/weekly/monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank accounts, credit cards, rental fleet, etc.); (ii) Assisting with A/R, A/P, and tracking and reporting on expense trends; (iii) Preparation of various monthly reports and budgets/forecasts; and (iv) Assisting with the month- and year-end closing process in conjunction with our external CPA firm.
  • Extensive use of Excel to analyze and interpret financial and operational data.
  • Professional demeanor when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work as a team and not be afraid to ask questions or seek additional assistance when a question arises that you are unsure about.
  • Follow company procedures and best practices to ensure compliant record keeping.
  • Maintain confidentiality relating to all business activities.

Skills & Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and accounting software, such as QuickBooks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
