Job summary

The Intersect Group seeks an Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting in Chandler, AZ. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will manage AP, AR, payroll, GL, reconciliations, month-end close, and compliance activities in a fast-paced environment.

You'll work with Finance, HR, and operations on accounting projects, contribute to internal controls (SOX), and help ensure accurate financial documentation and reporting for audits and planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–9 years of accounting experience covering GL, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close.
• Experience with payroll systems; ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• ERP experience required; SAP Business One preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience supporting audits and financial documentation preferred.
• SOX compliance or public company experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now and support payroll compliance.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Assist with financial reporting, audits, cash forecasting, and compliance reporting.
• Monitor collections, process employee expenses, and maintain vendor/customer records.
• Support SOX controls, internal audits, and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, and operational teams on accounting projects and reporting needs.
